Holy Balls.
Well, today I realized just how fresh my meat is. Like, really fresh. Like the damn cow is still mooing fresh.  We (the three freshies there today) did conditioning with the ‘big girls’, skating in a pace line. If we couldn’t keep up, they’d whip us, or push us, or yell at us to go faster. If the coach leading the pace line lapped us, we’d have to do pushups.  No one...

I'm a busy girl!
I’ve got a bleeding heart for animals. I always have. Last weekend we added a new member to our family of mistfits - Shiva, a ten week old, abandoned, starved, and flea-bitten shepherd cross. Shiva is doing so much better now, I’m so delighted to have her. She heels well beside the stroller, and I’ve taken her and Annabelle on 2-3 hour walks almost every day this week to tire...

Sunday we tried our 25 in 5 to see where we were at. I fell once, and again while trying to get up quickly, and then after skating around I was so shaken and wobbly I biffed into the back of a girl on the inside and made us both eat it. After that I was all like fuckit and cheered the other girls on, all the while scolding myself for not getting back up and continuing. Not my finest moment. Today...

I was off today at practice. Really off. I sucked hard. There’s not much else to say about it. I’m slow and weak, but I’m still trying. Off-skates Plans
I’ve got to do more off-skates work-out. I’m quite flexible, but I have very little leg strength, and a pretty wimpy endurance. This has gotta change. I need a plan! A PLAN.
